Organizing Board of Magellano Project in collaboration with the University of Calabria, AEGEE Europe and AEGEE Belgrade organizes the project named “The future of Europe – The Eastern Enlargement”
The Magellano Project was born with the idea of knowing and letting know how the polycentric Erasmus World lives, thinks and works all over Europe.
This project is based on a bus travel of 76 days that starts on April 6th. The crew departs from Cosenza, Italy.
Travelling through Eastern Europe, they will stop in 18 capitals, and in Belgrade will arrive on June 1st, where they will be staying until June 4th.
The purpose is to create a cooperation system in the superior instruction and in the scientific and technologic research, as in the mobility of teachers, researchers and students.
One of the main goals of the project is promotion of the best initiatives to create an international inter-university network between states members of the European Union and those who will soon become part of it, and are already a part of the Socrates/Erasmus program.
Besides that, Magellano project has one more assignment, and that is a realization of documentary that will show the situation in 18 Universities in the cities they intend to visit and also a work of social research concerning the European student organizations who work to support and to promote the Erasmus Program. The program is also involving a series of meetings with City governments, presidents of Universities, and a discussion with students in host city. The Magellano Project foresees, as well, the publication of the “Magellano Journey’s Note” and The “Magellano Figurative Art Collection”.
